Canadian Investment Firm Buys Jacksonville Warehouse

A Canadian investment group recently purchased a warehouse on Jacksonville’s Northside for $3.9 million, according to public records.

Quebec-based Dalfen America Corp. acquired a 240,000 square foot distribution center at Imeson International Industrial Park at 10089 North Main Street in August.

Grubb & Ellis/Phoenix Realty Group Inc. of Jacksonville announced the transaction in a news release Monday. Phoenix brokers Aaron Zarle, Bryan Bartlett and John Richardson represented the seller, New York-based W. P. Carey & Co. LLC, according to the release.

W.P. Carey & Co. had owned the building since 1992, when it acquired it for $5.9 million, according to Duval County property records.

The building is vacant, and Daflen plans to renovate it and lease the space, according to the release.

Dalfen America owns a commercial portfolio that includes office, industrial, retail and self-storage properties throughout the U.S. and Canada.
