Based in Dallas, Don Benningfield is the Chief Operating Officer of Dalfen America Corp. (DAC). In addition to his role as COO, he is a member of the Executive Advisory Committee, which oversees all of the Dalfen Group’s investment programs.
Mr. Benningfield has extensive experience committing debt and equity capital, transacting in the capital markets, managing credit risk, and providing consulting, asset management, and strategic advisory services to public and private companies, financial institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, private equity firms, issuers, and investors.
At BlackRock, Mr. Benningfield led diverse project teams executing key client mandates and initiatives globally as the Global Head of Real Estate Portfolio Management. In this role he advised, underwrote, restructured, and disposed of real estate risk exposures on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and performed asset quality reviews and portfolio management services for overseas financial institutions, insurance companies, finance ministries and central banks.
During his time at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Benningfield held multiple leadership positions covering a wide range of investment banking and capital markets transactions in addition to serving in various risk management, board, ownership, and advisory roles.Read Less
Fred Tkalec joined Dalfen America Corp. in April 1998. His responsibilities include overseeing the entire accounting operations, project financing and risk management on a portfolio of millions of square feet of high quality commercial real estate assets in both the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining Dalen America Corp., Mr. Tkalec was a senior manager with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Montreal, Canada, where he was responsible for overseeing the audits of private and public companies with sales in excess of $50,000,000. Shelly Drakes joined Dalfen America Corp. in October of 2002. Her responsibilities include the overseeing of assets on the Eastern region of the United States. Her team is responsible for the day to day operation of each property, lease negotiations, tenant satisfaction, and vendor management while keeping the company’s strategic vision insight.
Ms. Drakes started in the Property Management industry in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia, with then Prentiss Properties now PM Realty.
