DAC Expands Columbus Holdings to +1 Million SF with Alum Creek

Quebec Firm Pays $9.25 Million for 303,000-SF Industrial Complex Near Rickenbacker International Airport

Continuing to grow its presence in the Columbus, OH market, Quebec-based industrial investment firm Dalfen America Corp. (DAC) struck a deal with fellow Quebec firm Ivanhoe Cambridge to acquire Alum Creek Business Center for $9.25 million, or approximately $31 per square foot.

The 303,000-square-foot, two-building complex was constructed in phases in 1993 and 1996 along Alum Creek Dr. in Columbus’ Southeast Industrial submarket.

The adjoining properties are in close proximity to Rickenbacker International Airport, home to Cardinal Health, Walmart, L Brands, FedEx and Amazon, among others, and feature 54 loading docks, 24-foot to 26-clear heights, and T-8 lighting.

DAC has established a major presence in Columbus, with the firm now owning more than one million square feet of industrial space throughout the market and more than 2.5 million square feet in the state of Ohio.

“The rapid growth of e-commerce has led to an increasing demand for quality warehouse space and Columbus continues to be one of the nation’s top locations for distribution”, says Sean Dalfen, President of DAC. “We intend to continue to grow our presence in the Columbus market.”
