Mesquite Business Park Sells to Investors

By Steve Brown, Dallas Morning News

A new Mesquite business park has changed hands.

The East Dallas Logistics Center is on East Kearney Street near Interstate 635 in Mesquite. Its two buildings include more than a half million square feet warehouse and distribution space and were built by developer Dalfen Industrial.

The 45-acre logistics park was bought by a limited partnership investment firm represented by Goldman Sachs.

Dalfen Industrial representatives confirmed that the property has sold.

The business park is one of several developments Dalfen Industrial is building east of Dallas. Dalfen Industrial owns and operates millions of square feet of industrial properties throughout North America.

More than 6 million square feet of warehouse space is under construction east of Dallas.

And the Dallas-Fort Worth area is the country’s top industrial building market with more than 50 million square feet of space on the way.

Billions of dollars of industrial buildings have been purchased by investors since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Only apartments have seen more property sales.
